Join AZAD as an Electrical Engineer and facilitate on-site engineering and project assistance for substation construction projects for a regional electric utility. This position serves as a field electrical engineer, performing the testing and energization of communications and control equipment in high voltage electrical substations, radio stations, and control centers as well as recommending modifications and additions to the existing installations.

This is a 2 years plus consultant position with high probability of long term and ongoing continued employment. This position is full time on site and can be based out of Salem, Oregon or Spokane, Washington with up to 100% travel to substations across service territory (primarily WA/OR/ID/MT) with durations at each location from 2 weeks to 2 years depending on the project. The hourly pay rate range for this position (which includes a health and welfare fringe benefit of $4.57) is $31.34 - $38.00.

The Ideal Candidate Must Possess The Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering (from an ABET* accredited school) is required.

Note: Candidates 3 months from graduation will be considered. Proof of degree may be requested after graduation.

6 months of experience and knowledge of electrical engineering concepts, principals, and practices applicable to components and facilities found on a regional transmission system is required.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Valid U.S. Driver's License is required.

Must have access to a reliable personal vehicle.

Must be able to pass a federal criminal background and drug screening.
