Vice President, Data Analytics & RCM

The Vice President of Data Analytics and RCM is responsible for managing billing, collections, and cash posting operations while building and developing the analytics department to drive growth and enhance data governance.

Essential Job Functions

  • Collaborate with IT: Develop and implement dashboards that support Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) and Operations, with an initial focus on RCM initiatives.
  • Drive Business Growth through Data & Analytics:
    • Identify key initiatives that foster growth, efficiency, and innovation.
    • Guide the development of analytical models, reports, and dashboards that provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
    • Ensure data analysis aligns with business objectives, delivering value across departments.
    • Promote a data-driven culture by providing insights and recommendations that inform decision-making.
  • Establish and Oversee Data Governance:
    • Develop frameworks to ensure data accuracy, consistency, privacy, and security.
    • Oversee the implementation of data quality standards and procedures to maintain high-quality data organization-wide.
    • Ensure scalability and reliability of data systems for current and future needs.
  • Evaluate and Implement Data Analytics Tools:
    • Assess and integrate data analytics and BI tools to support departmental goals and operational efficiency
  • Billing, Collections, and Cash Posting:
      • Direct and manage end-to-end billing processes, ensuring timely and accurate submission of claims.
      • Lead the collections team to reduce outstanding receivables and increase collection rates while minimizing write-offs.
      • Supervise cash posting operations to ensure accurate and timely application of payments, adjustments, and reconciliations.
      • Reconcile Unposted Cash: Implement processes to identify, resolve, and post unposted cash, ensuring accurate financial reporting and timely resolution of discrepancies.
    • Performance Management and Optimization:
      • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for billing, collections, and cash posting to drive improvements in efficiency and effectiveness.
      • Continually improve processes, implement industry best practices, and enhance outcomes by integrating innovative solutions.
      • Serve as an internal leader, guiding teams to achieve operational excellence and adherence to industry standards.
    • Compliance and Regulatory Oversight:
      • Ensure all revenue cycle activities comply with applicable regulations, including healthcare laws and payer requirements.
      • Stay current on changes in billing regulations and reimbursement policies and communicate necessary adjustments to the team.
Minimum Qualifications

  • 5 years of experience covering consulting, data analytics or business intelligence.
  • Undergraduate degree; Masters a plus but not required.
  • Compliance with accepted professional standards and practices.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills are required. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office including, Word, Excel and MS Project.
  • Satisfactory references from employers and/or professional peers.
  • Satisfactory criminal background check and drug screen.
