We are seeking a talented and experienced BSA/AML Analyst to join the EarnUp team. As a crucial member of our compliance department, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive analysis of financial activities to ensure compliance with anti-money laundering (AML) and Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) regulations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of financial crime compliance, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

You Will

  • Perform detailed analysis of customer transactions and account activity to detect suspicious behavior indicative of money laundering or other illicit financial activities.
  • Conduct thorough investigations into flagged transactions or accounts, including gathering and analyzing relevant data, documentation, and information.
  • Utilize identity verification technologies such as Socure, as well as other relevant tools and resources, to identify and assess potential risks associated with customers, transactions, and counterparties.
  • Review and assess customer due diligence (CDD) and enhanced due diligence (EDD) information to ensure accuracy and completeness, including performing Know Your Customer (KYC) checks.
  • Prepare and file suspicious activity reports (SARs) as necessary, adhering to regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Collaborate with other members of the compliance team and other departments to address AML/BSA-related issues and concerns.
  • Stay informed about changes in AML/BSA laws, regulations, and industry best practices, and ensure compliance with all applicable requirements.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and controls related to AML/BSA compliance.
  • Participate in training sessions for staff to enhance awareness and understanding of AML/BSA compliance requirements.
  • Provide support during regulatory examinations and audits, including the preparation of documentation and responses to inquiries.

What You Bring

  • Minimum of 2-4 years of relevant experience in AML/BSA compliance within the financial services industry.
  • Strong understanding of AML/BSA laws, regulations, and industry standards including a demonstrated ability to keep abreast of changes in AML/BSA regulations and adjust practices accordingly.
  • Proficiency in conducting transaction monitoring and suspicious activity detection.
  • Experience with identity verification tools like Socure or equivalent solutions.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and identify patterns or anomalies.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate findings and recommendations clearly and concisely.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in work and documentation.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.

The base salary range for this position is $125,000-$160,000
