Job Title: Manual Tester

Job Overview: We are looking for a Manual Tester with 4+ years of experience to join our quality assurance team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of manual testing principles and methodologies, along with a proven track record of identifying and documenting software defects. This role offers an opportunity to work on exciting projects in a collaborative and dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute manual test cases to verify software functionality and identify defects
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and develop comprehensive test plans
  • Create and maintain detailed test documentation, including test cases, test scripts, and test reports
  • Conduct regression testing to ensure software stability and reliability after code changes
  • Perform exploratory testing to uncover hidden software issues and improve overall product quality
  • Participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and sprint reviews
  • Work closely with developers to triage and prioritize bugs for resolution
  • Stay updated with industry best practices and emerging trends in manual testing techniques and tools

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • 4+ years of experience in manual software testing, preferably in a product development environment
  • Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, techniques, and best practices
  • Experience with test management tools such as JIRA or similar
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Good to have:

  • Experience in OTT/Media domain is good.
  • Good knowledge of streaming protocols (DASH, HLS) and testing Live, VOD, DVR streaming.
