DevOps Engineer / Cloud Engineer - Containerization & CI/CD

Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer / Cloud Engineer with strong expertise in containerization, CI/CD pipeline development, and automation tools.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Ansible, and Helm, enabling them to build, deploy, and manage scalable, cloud-native applications. This role requires a deep understanding of modern DevOps practices, automation strategies, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth software delivery and infrastructure management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and manage containerized applications using Docker and orchestrate these containers using Kubernetes for scalable deployment and management.
• Implement and maintain Helm charts for Kubernetes applications to automate deployment processes.
• CI/CD Pipeline Development:Develop, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins for automated building, testing, and deployment of applications across multiple environments.
• Integrate automated testing, code quality checks, and security scans into CI/CD pipelines.
• Infrastructure Automation:Utilize Ansible to automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and application deployment.Write Ansible playbooks and roles to configure systems and deploy applications consistently.
• Deployment & Release Management:Use Helm to package and deploy Kubernetes applications, manage release versions, and roll out updates efficiently.Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure consistent and reliable deployments.
• Monitoring & Optimization: Implement monitoring and alerting solutions for containerized applications and CI/CD pipelines to ensure high availability and performance.Troubleshoot and optimize infrastructure and application performance issues.
• Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with software development, QA, and operations teams to implement best practices for DevOps and cloud-native applications.Provide support and guidance on DevOps methodologies, tools, and techniques.

Must-Have Skills:

• Containerization: Strong hands-on experience with Docker for building and managing containerized applications. Experience in orchestrating containers using Kubernetes, including setting up clusters, managing deployments, and scaling applications.
• CI/CD Pipelines: Proven experience with Jenkins for building CI/CD pipelines, integrating testing and security tools, and automating the deployment process.
• Automation with Ansible: Hands-on experience with Ansible for infrastructure automation, configuration management, and application deployments.
• Helm for Kubernetes: Proficiency in using Helm for managing Kubernetes packages, defining charts, and handling application deployments in Kubernetes environments.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud for deploying and managing cloud-native applications.
• Knowledge of monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK Stack for observing containerized applications.
• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Experience with security best practices and tools for DevOps, such as Vault, Aqua Security, or Twistlock.
• Strong scripting skills in languages such as Python, Shell, or Go.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or a similar role with a focus on containerization, automation, and CI/CD.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain containerized applications and CI/CD pipelines.
