Role LIMS Technical Writer with laboratory management/ laboratory informatics

Location Pittsburgh, PA (100% Remote)

Responsibilities :
Minimum of 4 years of experience in laboratory management or laboratory informatics, with a strong understanding of LIMS systems and their applications.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex technical requirements into clear, concise documentation.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
Strong project management skills, with experience in managing complex projects from inception to completion
Familiarity with laboratory operations, quality assurance, and regulatory requirements.
Knowledge of industry-specific standards, such as GLP, GMP, or Google Cloud Platform, is a plus.Certification in LIMS or laboratory informatics is a plus.
Resources should be expert of designing, executing, maintaining test cases and test plans. To build test cases of LIMS Applications, resources will have to get into details manually, there is very minimal specifications currently available for reference
Resource should be well versed with functional, regression, integration and exploratory testing
Not expecting resources to have HistoTrac LIMS Application Manual Testing experience but should have good experience on other LIMS manual testing experience
Ability to perform DB verification using SQL queries to validate data integrity and consistency in backend DBs
Must have experience on Azure DevOps Testing Tools
Good knowledge of SDLC and Agile Methodologies
Good communication and collaboration skills

Key Responsibilities:
Scope of Work
The Technical Writer will collaborate with the Architecture team to produce the following deliverables:
Architecture Building Blocks (ABB):
Detailed documentation of the foundational components of the architecture, including functionality, capabilities, and requirements, as defined within the TOGAF framework.
Solutions Building Blocks (SBB):
Documentation outlining specific technologies, products, or services used to implement the architecture. This includes detailed technical specifications, integration points, and operational guidance.

High-Level Reference Architecture Documents:
Creation of visual and textual documentation outlining the overarching architecture at a strategic level. These documents will guide future project teams and stakeholders, ensuring alignment with architectural goals and best practices.

Qualifications:
Education: Bachelors degree in Technical Communication, English, Computer Science, or a related field. Equivalent experience will also be considered.
Experience: 5+ years of experience in technical writing, preferably in the software industry or with technical documentation.
Technical Skills: Familiarity with programming languages (e.g., C#, Python, JavaScript) and cloud technologies (e.g., Azure, AWS) is a plus.
Writing Skills: Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with detailed understanding of Microsofts style guide and a strong attention to detail.
Tools: Proficiency with documentation tools such as Markdown, Git, , Visual Studio Code, Azure DevOps and Microsoft Word and Presentation.
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts in simple terms.
Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
