ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
  • Determine and drive targeted, sustainable improvement in the most critical and impactful targets
  • Work directly with Operating Company Leadership teams on the most critical initiatives defined in annual collaboration agreements.
  • Support and align on integration of new acquisitions within the Platform and provide support for integration of acquisitions outside the Platform when needed.
  • Utilize Corporate DBSO standard work in all activities, function as a part of the Corporate DBSO
  • Development of the Platform DBS Roadmap (i.e., how to use the DBS tools to drive sustainable improvement).
  • Support Corporate DBSO and initiatives within the Platform..
  • Provide formal and informal DBS training and coaching to Platform Leadership and Operating Company Presidents..
  • Be an active Leader in Platform and Operating Company meetings as directed by Platform Executive and/or SVP, DBSO.
  • Plan and lead DBS Leadership training sessions for Platform
  • Provide input and recommendations for improvement projects.
  • Manage a team including performance management, compensation increases, development actions, consulting on career aspirations, support same for indirectly supervised associates.
  • Develop succession capability and build talent funnels to ensure long-term performance.
  • Establish and manage the function budget.
  • Facilitate the Annual business planning process and align DBS initiatives with business priorities.
  • Ensure successful Platform kaizen events by installing and ensuring compliance to the kaizen process (includes (1) planning of kaizens with a dynamic funnel process tied to the strategy and continuous improvement, (2) kaizen execution and (3) sustainment of kaizens).
  • Promote and facilitate diagnosis of workflow impediments and other wastes throughout the business and provide expert counsel on appropriate DBS tools to eliminate them.
  • Support Platform Innovation and Commercial leaders in driving the Platform Innovation and Commercial Equations to deliver on strategy and results.
  • Drive improvement Action Plans at Platform level to close gap between Platform Innovation Strat Aspirations and output of the Innovation Equation (Aspiration Gap and Execution Gaps)
  • Support DBS Functional Transition Leaders for acquisitions withing the Platform; Serve as DBS Functional Transition Leader for large/mega acquisitions within the Platform.
  • Ensure Danaher's DBS IP Standard Work is adhered to within their Platform.


Qualifications :
  • BS or BA Degree in Business or Engineering required; Master's Degree preferred
  • 12+ years leading various lean manufacturing processes with exposure to Toyota Production Systems, Six Sigma and/or DBS. Significant practitioner experience in quality principles and technical tools (problem analysis, statistical tools, design of experiments, variation reduction, design for six sigma, control charts) and similar experience building a strategy and leading improvement efforts in a variety of functional areas such as Operations, Commercial, Supply Chain and for the overall business.
  • Experience as a general manager responsible for a variety of functions and a P&L.
  • Aspirations to become a President of an Operating Company within 3 years.
  • Experience as a transition leader of a large acquisition
  • Ability to challenge and influence Executives and peers.
  • Demonstrated ability to build a strategy though the identification of gaps and root causes, executing countermeasures and leading through influence.
  • Ability to accurately assess key business metrics and situations from a General Manager point of view.
  • Ability to design, develop, and implement a DBS roadmap for the Platform.
  • Superior communications skills
  • Superior training, consulting, coaching, and influencing skills.
  • Proven process improvement and change management skills

The salary range for this role is $259,000 to $325,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonincentive pay.
