Looking for a BSA for a 9-12 month + contract. In Des Moines or remote within the Central/Eastern time zones. Life and/or Annuity experience strongly desired.

Job Summary

The Business Systems Analyst will support the research of customer processes and business needs. This role focuses on identifying and implementing improvements in smaller, less complex processes. Additionally, the analyst will contribute to documenting business requirements and monitoring system implementations.

Duties and Responsibilities

Assist in researching customer processes and business needs.

Participate in gathering and documenting business requirements and determining technical impacts.

Collaborate with coworkers to understand strategic business needs and growth plans.

Analyze and evaluate existing or proposed business systems and processes to identify and implement improvements in smaller, less complex processes.

Develop system-related documentation, including flow charts, workflow tables, mapping documents, and integration specifications, and provide system training.

Monitor system implementation to ensure user satisfaction.

Experience and Education Requirements

Bachelor s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Understanding of requirements gathering methodologies and the SDLC.

Exposure to business requirements and business process analysis.

0-3 years of experience in the Insurance and/or Life & Annuity industry.

Familiarity with relational databases.

Understanding of APIs.

Preferred Requirements

Experience with SQL or a willingness to learn SQL.

Experience in the Insurance and/or Life & Annuity industry.

Experience with Licensing and Contracting business processes and/or systems.

Experience with JIRA, Confluence, ServiceNow.
