Keller Schroeder is seeking a Help Desk Technician I for our direct client. This is a direct hire, onsite position in Madisonville, KY. The Help Desk Technician will serve as the main point of contact for IT-related issues for their Madisonville location as well as a remote location in Texas. No sponsorship is available.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide basic support and troubleshooting for local and remote users of PCs, laptops, handhelds, tablets, printers and scanners
  • Support cell and VoIP phones
  • Software support (MS Office, Gmail, Chrome, etc.)
  • Install applications
  • Reset passwords
  • New user setup
  • Manage IT Inventory
  • Minimal network support (take care of a switch or access point)
  • IT projects (Disaster Recovery, Compliance, etc.)
  • Some administrative tasks

Requirements:

  • 1 year help desk or related experience
  • Understanding of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office
  • Troubleshooting, analysis, problem solving and decision-making abilities
  • Willingness to learn and grow IT skills
  • Flexible, cooperative attitude in assisting with administrative tasks as needed including data maintenance, data entry, working with PowerPoint, Word, etc.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Commitment to exceptional customer service and support
