MoveAmerica is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Analyst to provide comprehensive financial analysis and support to the DoD Office of Small Business Programs, specifically assisting with the execution and management of Mentor Protégé Program (MPP) directed initiatives as the MPP Intermediary. The financial analyst will work closely with various DoD agencies to ensure the effective management of financial resources, compliance with regulations, and the achievement of financial objectives. Responsibilities

  • Assist with contract setup and management, cost control and analysis, proposal preparation and staffing.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial data, coordinate efforts, and support decision-making processes.
  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial modeling. Evaluate financial data, trends, and performance indicators to identify areas for improvement and recommend actionable strategies.
  • Collaborate with OSBP and DoD agencies to develop, monitor, and manage budgets. Assist in the preparation of budget proposals, ensuring accuracy, compliance with regulations, and alignment with strategic goals.
  • Perform cost analysis of small business programs and contracts. Evaluate the cost-effectiveness of various initiatives, identify potential cost savings, and provide recommendations to enhance financial efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, policies, and procedures. Prepare financial reports, statements, and documentation in accordance with internal and government requirements. Support audits and assist in resolving any financial discrepancies or issues.
  • Assist in conducting risk assessments to identify potential financial risks and propose risk mitigation strategies. Assisting in evaluating the financial viability and sustainability of small businesses within the defense sector. Monitor and report on financial risk indicators as directed.
  • Collaborate with OSBP and DoD agencies to develop financial plans and strategies. Provide input and recommendations on financial matters related to small business programs and initiatives. Assist in the evaluation of financial proposals and investment opportunities.
  • Utilize various financial systems to carry out responsible actions while ensuring compliance with regulations to aid in the decision-making process. Systems may include Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS), Wide Area Workflow (WAWF), Defense Travel System (DTS), and Standard Accounting, Budgeting, and Reporting System (SABRS).
