I have a full time opportunity for an IT Business Analyst in Providence Rhode Island. I need someone familiar with the whole SDLC and who can work proactively with the business users.

This role will be onsite 3 days and 2 days remote.

Responsibilities

  • Works multiple concurrent project initiatives of various scale and priority levels across multiple lines of business
  • Elicit requirements from business and technical stakeholders via interviews / workshops to develop workflow storyboards, use case scenarios and a formal statement of work.
  • Analyzes and translates functional requirements into a complete, consistent, and comprehensible manner for technical teams and project stakeholders.
  • Conduct peer reviews and collaborate with necessary business stakeholders and technical resources to finalize requirements, develop project level of efforts and present cost models for approval from project sponsor(s).
  • Under the supervision of a project manager adheres to project plan key milestones and planned task start/stop dates to ensure the project stays on time and within budget.
  • Develops test cases and develop roadmap features into user stories to validate requirements against project scope and design.
  • Executes test cases and documents the results; works with the development team to remediate identified defects.
  • Manages, tracks and reports project progress, issues & risks to different levels of management using SDLC project lifecycle methodologies.
  • Participates in project implementations following all necessary change control and audit procedural steps.
  • Performs a post-implementation review to ensure that all project goals were met, and all activities completed
  • Performs project close out activities to ensure approvals and documentation is archived.
  • Facilitates and documents postproduction lesson learn sessions.
  • Participates in research/resolution of day-to-day production support items that arise as part of the normal course of day-to-day business.
  • Coordinate with different departmental teams to identify improvements and provide sound recommendations to ensure excellence for all business areas.
  • Research new technologies, processes, software & automation opportunities with solutions for new trends, demands and concepts.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or Associate's degree plus equivalent experience, required
  • Proficient in MS Office and MS Project or equivalent
  • Accomplished organizational, communication (written and verbal), interpersonal and leadership skills at all levels
  • Ability to work with Information Technology, Development, and Business users as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
