Consumers are becoming more digitally inclined, with most expecting real-time answers. The need to engage in digital channels to connect and communicate with consumers is rapidly increasing and becoming more sophisticated. The digital engagement space is continuously evolving - new products in the marketplace, new and changing platforms, change, new data to report and new ways to interact with customers. Lilly recognizes the need to be present in Direct to Consumer (DTC) marketing, informing and connecting with Healthcare Professionals (HCP) and Disease state awareness through digital channels such as Websites, Search Engine Marketing (SEM), and Social Media (Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, WeChat, WhatsApp, etc.). We strive to meet the needs of today's consumers when and where they want to engage, with personalized content.

This role will primarily focus on front end website capabilities with an opportunity to support and integrate with search, social, data, and personalization teams. This position reports to the Director - Global Digital Engagement

How You Will Succeed:
  • Serving as the technical lead for the development of websites in partnership with developers and Marketing account managers
  • Evaluating potential use cases for new capabilities and managing key prioritization/trade off discussions for new website work
  • Lead the definition and gathering of requirements and propose changes to existing services and capabilities where applicable
  • Help define and lead future state website strategy and coach/develop junior developers on the team
  • Accountable to drive digital innovation, at scale,and serve as a change agent throughout the organization.


Your Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in an Information Systems, Computer Science, or Digital-related field
  • 5+ years professional experience building responsive, user-friendly web applications
  • Expertise in optimized front-end development technologies including HTML5/CSS3/JavaScript/React.js/Redux
  • Experience working in AWS and Adobe Experience Manager
  • Demonstrated expertise in leading a team of developers, managing multiple simultaneous deliverables, and senior leader level communications

What You Should Bring:
  • Proactive mindset that can solve issues and involve stakeholders
  • Experience with 2D visualization libraries like D3 is a plus
  • Experience with Adobe products and/or personalization technology
  • Experience with Content Management Systems
  • 5+ years in a Digital Marketing, Program Management, or Information and Digital Solutions organization
  • Demonstrated understanding of the consumer marketing channels and business areas
  • Experience working directly with the US affiliate, Corporate Communications, and global teams, and engaging with business stakeholders directly for day-to-day operations
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic, constantly evolvingenvironment
  • Experience with Accessibility design
  • Experience working with AdTech or digital marketing technologies a plus
  • Experience in working in Scrum - Agile methodologies
  • Experience working with social, search and web analytics technologies
  • Experience in development and deployment on cloud infrastructure
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills with high attention todetail
  • Have strong self-management skills and ability to work in ambiguity
  • Experience working with stakeholders in different countries
  • Pharmaceutical or healthcare industry experience
