Description

  • Extension/Amendment Attestation: The Statement of Work (SOW) shall expire on April 4, 2025. Extension(s) only allowed using unused days/funds left on contract. No additional funds will be added beyond maximum contract value. Such extension(s) will be allowable only if the Master Service Agreement is extended beyond April 5, 2024 and be upon the same terms, conditions and covenants contained in the SOW.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with project team and ministry stakeholders to understand the project needs and requirements. Facilitate meetings, design intuitive user interface designs and feedback.
  • Develop wireframes and prototypes that meets accessibility standards and aligns with Ontario digital standards.
  • Create, improve and use wireframes, prototypes, style guides, user flows, and effectively communicate your interaction ideas to stakeholders.
  • Perform user research that can improve the useability of online solution.
  • Develop user journey map and documentation needed for designs and prototypes.
  • Collaborate with project team, participate in Agile delivery for enhancements.
  • Recommends or automates approaches to streamline and integrates technological processes and/or systems to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Coordinate the development of business systems/applications including assisting team members through the systems development life cycle.
  • Knowledge transfer and documentation as requested by the Project Manager and Manager
  • Supports the management of specific project deliverables & outcomes, including managing projects to completion, as required to deliver business objectives.
  • Support new team members with necessary documentation and demos needed to learn the application.

Experience and Skill Set Requirements

Public Sector Experience - 5 points

  • 5+ years of experience working in the healthcare industry, specifically familiar with Ontario Digital Standards, Accessibility Standards.

Technical Expertise and Guidance - 35 points

  • 5+ years of hands-on UI/UX designing experience.
  • Excellent knowledge about Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) and standards for designing accessible user interface.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce experience cloud and user interface capabilities.
  • Familiar with modern customer service platforms and proficient in using Figma, Miro board, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for rapid prototyping.
  • Ability to collaborate with product management and engineering to define and implement innovative solutions for the product direction, visuals and experience.
  • Execute all visual design stages from concept to final hand-off to product teams.
  • Good experience in conducting user research, gather requirements and evaluate users needs and feedback.
  • Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices and standards.
  • Able to execute on and evolve the design by designing, refining, and documenting intuitive and robust components.

Development & Design Skills - 30 points

  • Ability to present quality designs and present to various stakeholders.
  • Advanced knowledge and understanding of best practices for developing web-based applications that meet Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) compliance standards.
  • Able to create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas.
  • Able to design product experiences across various platforms including web, desktop, and mobile.
  • Able to conceptualize original ideas that bring simplicity and user friendliness to complex design roadblocks.
  • Able to present and defend designs and key milestone deliverables to peers and executive level stakeholders.
  • Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively.
  • Develop human-centric designs, journey maps. Able to design and communicate product vision to the team using mock-ups, documentation, and prototypes.

  • Provide support and conduct options analysis, cost/ benefit analysis on alternate solutions.
  • Analyze business and systems design requirements and provide technical solutions.
  • Gather and design functional requirement and write technical specifications documents.
