We're seeking a future team member for the role of Data Governance Analyst to join our BNY Pershing Data Governance team. This role is located in Lake Mary, FL - Hybrid.


In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:


  • Partner with Pershing and Enterprise business data owners and technical application owners to deliver all data governance activities required for Pershing sources of data

  • Responsible for delivering end-to-end data governance activities including Authorized Data Sets (ADS), data contracts, business glossary, technical lineage support, data quality definitions

  • Supporting enterprise-wide data consumers through identification of data fit for their purpose and in line with strategic approaches for data usage

  • Support data cleansing and remediation activities, including supporting the development of ongoing preventative and / or detective controls



To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:


  • Bachelors degree in computer science, actuarial science, finance, economics, mathematics/statistics or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required

  • 5-7 years of total work experience preferred. Experience preferred in ensuring departmental data integrity, assessing and monitoring data quality issues against policies. Creating business logic and rules, creating, editing, modifying, sharing and restricting access to data, monitoring and/or escalating data quality issues until resolution, attesting to data integrity as delivered to users, data tiering and data metering, remediating unresolved data incidents, defining the health and proper usage of owned data throughout the enterprise, serving in a data governance role in financial services

  • 3+years of Pershing application and / or business process or analysis experience preferred

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to interact well with and build relationships with data owners, enterprise data consumers, and technology application managers, educating as needed on how to implement good data governance

  • Ability to define work and manage data governance deliverables in a pod structure and across business and technology teams
