Position Overview

Join us in our fast-paced support to the Space Development Agency (SDA). Recognized as the Department of Defense's constructive disruptor for space acquisition, SDA delivers space-based capabilities to the joint warfighter to support terrestrial missions through development, fielding, and operation of the Proliferated Warfighter Space Architecture. SDA capitalizes on a unique business model that values speed and lowers costs by harnessing commercial development to achieve a proliferated architecture and enhance resilience. We are seeking a Program Security Systems Analyst to support SDA's mission. Responsibilities include:

Responsibilities

  • Meet with vendors to verify system configurations, ensure protocols are being met and provide expert knowledge of how to proceed before, during and after accreditation of facilities and system infrastructure.
  • Assist with Approval to Operate (ATO) packages to include verifying and correcting vendor errors, ensure network configurations are within DoD, Security Classification Guides and Air Force Standards, review facilities and provide analysis of strategic issues and provide implementation strategies.
  • Support Special Access Program Staff to implement required hardware (printers, switches, and computers) across multiple supported vendor locations on contract.
  • Verify IP addresses and submit daily node and account requests for all SAP supported environments. Ensure network connectivity for nodes are active by performing monthly checks at each node located in HQ facility.
  • Verify Security Architecture & IT configuration diagrams for 5+ networks and oversea installations ensuring functionality.
  • Provide hardware and technical support to include, file scanning and transferring large volumes of files and data across 5+ networks of various classifications by optical media and external drives.
  • Provide image configuration support for hardware and act as a SME of security standards, risk analysis and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Create, verify, and deploy custom computer images across multiple vendor networks in the SAP environment.
  • Work with the Agency's CRO and Battle Management team by providing COMSEC support and guidance to HQ, OC-N and OC-S, ensuring materials are protected by DoD cyber policies. Troubleshoot all COMSEC equipment for each location as the mission dictates.
Required Qualifications

  • Active Top Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility. #qinetiqclearedjob
  • 5 years direct exp
  • A current DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification (Security+ is required) and the ability to obtain another from the below list within 2 years of employment start:
    • CISSP
    • CySA+
    • CCNA
    • Network+
    • Cloud+ or AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner
  • In-depth knowledge utilizing and supporting various DoD and Intel domains, to include OSD and AFNet, with various networks at each classification.
  • 1-2 years experience serving as a delegated Information System Security Officer (ISSO)
  • 1-2 years experience configuring and executing system vulnerability and compliance scans (to include virus and malware), reports, and the ability to provide solutions to adjust the findings.
  • Knowledge of network switches, ports, hard drives and various computer and networking components and sanitization of the components for all levels of Information Systems.
