Description:
The position will be part of the Mainframe Middleware Technology team. The team is responsible for the day to day administration and support of CICS, MQ for z/OS, WAS for z/OS, and z/OS Connect EE. Key responsiblities include on call support, incident and service request resolution, maintenance and upgrade activities. Skills Required '5+ years of experience in the support of mainframe infrastructure software products: CICS Transaction Server, CICSPlex Systems Manager and MQ for z/OS in a large-scale mainframe environment 2+ years of experience with COBOL, Assembler, and/or other programming languages Working knowledge of the capabilities and use of CICS TS and installation and tailoring of CICS TS and related products Working knowledge of products used to monitor performance of CICS TS regions and MQ for z/OS Solid analytical and problem resolution skills Experience with mainframe software installation, support, and lifecycle management Skillset with SMPE, TSO, Unix System Services, VSAM, DB2 Experience with dump analysis and abend root cause determination Experience in disaster recovery and business continuity support Strong interpersonal, written, and communication skills with peers and management Highly proficient in diagnosing and debugging application issues and performing problem resolution Ability to work well with people from many different disciplines with varying degrees of technical experience Knowledge of z/OS Connect EE Knowledge of IBM WebSphere and CICS Transaction Gateway Ability to work off hours for oncall support
