Valencia College is seeking an innovative, collaborative, and transformative leader to join us as the Dean of the School of Engineering, Technology, and Advanced Manufacturing. In this role, you will lead the academic, fiscal, and operational areas of the School within Valencia College in close partnership with the Provost and with colleagues around the College. Responsible for ensuring all facets of School plans are aligned with and fulfill the college's strategic priorities and direction.

About Our School of Engineering, Technology, and Advanced Manufacturing

Valencia College's dynamic School of Engineering, Technology, and Advanced Manufacturing seeks to prepare students to perform competently in the fields of building construction, drafting and design, software development, information technology, engineering, and a variety of engineering technologies by providing high-quality programs in Technical Certificates, Associate in Science Degrees, and Bachelor of Science Degrees. In addition, we offer Accelerated Skills Training, which prepares students for careers in manufacturing, logistics and distribution, construction, and more.

We are looking for a visionary individual to lead our School of Engineering, Technology, and Advanced Manufacturing—someone eager to drive transformative change with a clear purpose: to make a significant impact on the lives of our students and the community. The Dean will oversee a multi-campus team dedicated to maintaining the integrity of our high-quality programs and processes, all aligned with Valencia's Learning-Centered focus and Strategic Impact Plan.

Required Qualification

  • Master's degree or higher from a regionally accredited University with a major in Engineering, Computer Science, Technology, Construction, or related field.

Specialized Knowledge and Experience

  • Leadership experience appropriate to a senior leadership role in higher education.
  • Experience in teaching and learning, including direct experience in teaching.
  • Experience with student-related issues.
  • Experience in applying instructional technologies.
  • Experience in financial analysis, budget development, and the design and assessment of administrative support systems.
  • Experience with grant and grant management.
  • Experience in analyzing, interpreting, and disseminating student engagement, academic, and outcome data.

Salary: $120,000 to $150,000 Per Year
