We are seeking an experienced Director of Construction to lead MonteVista Homes construction operations and support the company's values, mission, and vision. The Director of Construction is responsible for and directs the home construction operations of MonteVista Homes. This role Directs the work progress of Construction Managers, Senior Superintendents, Superintendents, Assistant Superintendents, and the Quality Assurance Manager/Warranty Manager. In addition, the Director communicates with, collaborates with, and helps coordinate the combined efforts of the Sales, Purchasing, Estimating, Scheduling and Design Departments.

Key Responsibilities
Oversee and direct the Scheduling of homes to ensure we maintain consistent and
predictable construction schedules from start to closing.
Meet regularly with the building teams to review costs, schedules, processes, procedures and
objectives
Ensure the building teams and trade partners strictly adhere to the construction quality
standards and scopes of work by training, coaching and mentoring
Provide leadership, guidance and oversight to the warranty team, making sure we are providing
a high level of customer satisfaction while safeguarding the budget
Provide leadership on construction methods and materials, construction standards, and company
construction policies and procedures.
Regularly walk jobs with field staff and provide training and coaching
develop training and will coach through LMA practices for all construction personnel.Assist
Purchasing with partnering with vendors/trade partners to maintain and improve relationships.
Assist Purchasing with procuring new vendors/trade partners to ensure company growth,
projections and schedules are met
Participate in the NAHB or local associations as needed.
Oversee company Safety Officer(s), and all field staff including safety programs to ensure safe
working conditions and will meet or exceed OSHA standards and insurance requirements.
Ensures compliance with all company rules, policies, and agreements.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or related work experience
6 years' experience working in a management position within a production homebuilding
environment.
Thorough understanding of building codes
Strong understanding of construction processes, techniques, and materials.
Expert in critical path construction scheduling, project planning and management principles
Experience in budget preparation, bid and purchasing procedures, and expense control.
Proficiency in project management software and tools. (Microsoft Office, Excel, Google Suite).
Compensation
Full-Time Position
$100,000 - $120,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
