We are currently seeking a driven and innovative Permanent Project Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role will focus on Automation and Estimating within our Engineering department. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing automation solutions, preparing project proposals and estimates, and managing various engineering projects. This is a perfect opportunity for someone looking to apply their skills in a challenging and rewarding environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement innovative automation solutions to improve efficiency and productivity in the manufacturing process.
  • Prepare detailed project proposals and estimates, ensuring all costs are accurately accounted for.
  • Work closely with the manufacturing team to understand project requirements and develop effective engineering solutions.
  • Use AutoCAD 2D & 3D, Inventor, and other tools to design and plan manufacturing processes and equipment.
  • Program and troubleshoot Allen Bradley PLCs, HMI, VFDs, and other automation equipment.
  • Manage welding and fabrication jobs, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure project requirements are met and to resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Continuously monitor and report on project progress, identifying any potential issues and implementing corrective actions as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role within the engineering industry.
  • Proven experience with automation solutions, project estimating, and manufacturing.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD 2D & 3D, Inventor, and other engineering design tools.
  • Experience with Allen Bradley PLCs, HMI, VFDs, and RSLogix.
  • Knowledge of welding and fabrication jobs.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Self-motivated, with a strong desire to continuously learn and improve.
