Strong Model Validation SME
We are waiting on more the formal Job Description, but this is what we have so far.
AI Model Validation. 2nd line model validations in terms of model risks, proven specific model usages.. Most models are within business process automation and auxiliary function.
- Example of recent model: Learning and Development product that automates learning materials for Fannie Mae University. Another one is Microsoft Copilot, intelligence. Prohibitive Language detection is an example of external model, meeting fair lending requirements.
- Day by day, person would be assigned model usages, produce validation report, interact with 1st line of defense (model owners and engineers and governance team) and 2nd line of defense. Need to consider risk, reputational risk, data privacy, etc.
- Needs someone with model risk management and AI/ML risk management experience. Need hands on experience with Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning models.
- 7+ years of risk management
- Ability to assess model and solution with limited amount of foundation, likes someone from banking/financial services
- 2nd role would be annual reviews of models, changes in usage, reporting, has requirements changes, does new calibration need to be added. Very similar as 1st role but less emphasis on AI/ML expertise. Likes someone with solid general model risk management experience
