JOB TITLE: IT SUPPORT TECHNICIAN
IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR:

Reporting to the IT Director, the IT Support Technician provides support and assistance for the network components of the computer systems used by the company s internal clients. They ensure the proper functioning of these systems and help maintain the security of systems and data integrity while offering technical support to all company users.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Provide IT support to employees.
  • Ensure system application documentation is up to date.
  • Assist in the development, maintenance, and administration of the network to ensure the needs of internal clients are met.
  • Provide services, maintain, and keep an up-to-date inventory of all designated IT equipment.
  • Advise and support users on the company s software.
    • Gradually troubleshoot first-level issues.
    • Liaise with network managers for third-level issues.
  • Establish user training plans and needs; prepare, organize, and deliver approved software training courses.
  • Pay attention to data security in system operations and ensure user guides are updated.
  • Provide guidance and training to users in response to encountered issues; direct users to company procedures.
  • Organize and maintain an updated log of issues and solutions to be used by other technical support agents.
  • Install printers and perform Windows updates.
  • Provide basic technical support, particularly to less tech-savvy factory employees.
  • Onboard new employees and create user accounts via the portal.
  • Track and manage IT equipment inventory.
  • Provide comprehensive technical support to the team.
  • Ensure all equipment and IT systems are functioning properly.

Technical Skills
  • Good knowledge of IT systems.
  • Experience in IT support.
  • Knowledge of Office 365, Microsoft Exchange, Domain Controller, Office Suite, Ubiquity, HyperV Virtualization, VLAN, switch, NAS.
  • Strong knowledge of the Microsoft 365 suite and the portal for creating users and domains.
  • IP telephony (an asset).
Requirements
  • DEC in computer science.
  • Full-time, 5 days per week.
