Job Description

The Member Services Specialist is responsible for answering incoming inquiries from health plan members, employers, providers, and health plans. This role involves assessing the purpose of the inquiry and providing appropriate information. Key responsibilities include handling inquiries from members, employers, providers, and health plan coordinators, assessing patient needs and providing assistance by routing them to the appropriate department or party, projecting a professional and helpful demeanor to all patients, remaining calm when handling difficult or upset patients, consistently providing accurate and thorough information to patients, and using available resources to research and resolve moderately complex issues.

Work Site

This is a fully remote position.

Work Environment

Monday-Friday 8am-5pm (1 hour lunch). Remote office. Early start times if necessary, must be approved by the director and only if the queue is high.
