About the Company
Sidoti & Company is a New York-based broker-dealer focused on providing institutional-quality equity research on publicly traded companies within the small- and micro-cap universe. These companies span a variety of industries and tend to have limited equity research coverage by other Wall Street firms. In addition to providing research to investors, Sidoti hosts our Small- and Micro-Cap Conferences several times each year, as well as organizes non-deal roadshows and participates in select investment banking transactions.
About the Role
As an Equity Research Associate, you will:
· Develop a deep understanding of multiple sectors, and particularly U.S. industrials
· Contribute to research reports, financial models, and ad-hoc analyses
· Prepare for and participate in earnings conference calls and Sidoti conferences
· Communicate with institutional clients, company management, and salespersons
Qualifications & Experience
For this role, we seek candidates who have a strong:
· Detail-oriented and self-starter nature, with excellent time management and organizational skills
· Interest in building a career in financial services and becoming a Wall Street Analyst following your completion of the SIE, Series 7, 63, 86 (or CFA Level 2), and 87 exams
· Background in financial modeling (desired, but not required if you’re a quick learner)
· Passion for the financial markets, client service, and thinking analytically
· Education, including a bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or engineering
Compensation & Benefits
We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including sponsorship for FINRA licensing exams, a competitive starting salary, health insurance, generous time off totaling 18 days per year, and a flexible WFH policy with typical in-office requirement of 2-3 days per week following a training period which may entail a more traditional 4-5 days per week in office.
