Hyundai America Technical Center, Inc. (HATCI) North America Quality Center (NAQC) is currently looking for a Sr. Manager for our Chino, CA location that will:
Collaboration with affiliates (HMNA, KMNA, HAC, KCA, HATCI, HMC, HMMA, KaGA, KMX, and suppliers)
- Understand Division's plan for 2024 and work with team to implement & achieve KPI
- Work with outsourcing companies to set up (contract), monitor progress (arising issues, invoice, etc.) , & finalize projects
- Review and understand team members' report
- Attend and engage in N.A. affiliates' meetings to represent NAQC (Face of NAQC)
- Build relationship with NASOs, identify top issues, investigate, report and share findings
- Work with HMC KASO to monitor field issues, collect incident parts, and schedule/plan N.A. investigation
- Support FIX it right the first time incentives to avoid wrong diagnosis, repairs, and unnecessary parts replacement
- Support QIR through weekly meeting/reporting, management of new issues identified, assignment of new issues, issue FIR & root cause reports, and share information with affiliates
- Identify root cause and condition by translating subjective customer complaints with repeatable objective data & validate countermeasure effectiveness
- Support North America Local Region Infotainment audits to identify issues prior to SOP
- Identify root causes related to IQS/VDS/CR in relationship to EL, INFO, PT, and EV
- Work with NAQC shop to schedule & achieve timely project completion
- Work with outsource company to purchase used vehicles for investigation
- Support NAQC Team 3 [MI office] with previous identified issues' background (share findings) & investigation methods
- Work closely with IT departments (NAQC & HMNA) to access database to support early problem detection
- Participant in affiliates meetings for better understanding of issues/concerns (QIR, FSE, FTS, LQMP, MQ, Battery, etc.)
- Manage fleet vehicle usage
- Manage projects using SMART for weekly & monthly reporting plus project status monitoring
- Weekly Team meeting with team & management to report status and plans
- Manage to improve the capabilities of our engineers

Compensation:
- $150,000 - $170,000
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering
- 15+ years of engineering experience
- 5+ years of experience managing engineers and leading EV drivability development projects
- Valid Driver's License and satisfactory driving record
