Job Title: Communications Specialist (Content Development/Copywriting Focus)


Location: Miami, FL, Onsite no remote


Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8 hour shift not including lunch. Must have flexibility to attend events outside of regular business hours


Job Type: Full-time, non-exempt

Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and creative Communications Specialist with a focus on content development and copywriting. This role is instrumental in driving the communication and marketing efforts, working closely with the communications team to develop and execute comprehensive strategies. You will manage digital content creation, email communications, graphic design, and video/photo editing for various platforms, including LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube. This position is not remote and requires attendance at events.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Develop and implement communication strategies across various platforms.
  • Create, proofread, and edit content for digital and print mediums, including newsletters, email blasts, reports, and event promotions.
  • Design and edit graphics for events, including presentations, invitations, and marketing collateral using Adobe, Illustrator, and Canva.
  • Assist in video editing for events and manage digital assets such as photos and videos.
  • Collaborate on social media content creation and manage marketing emails via platforms like HubSpot, Constant Contact, and MailChimp.
  • Update website content as needed and ensure consistency in messaging.
  • Attend in-person events, capturing photography and coordinating with media teams.


Required Qualifications:


  • Bachelor s Degree in Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in communications, copywriting, and content creation.
  • Strong graphic design skills with proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign).
  • Experience managing social media and marketing platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube).
  • Video and photo editing skills for creating digital content.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Knowledge of email marketing platforms (HubSpot, MailChimp) and CRM systems.
  • Must be able to work onsite and attend events; reliable transportation is required.
