Job Title: Software Engineer - Automated Chemistry Technology

Location: Vancouver, BC, V6T 1Z3
Employment Type: Full-time, Onsite
Salary: CAD $80,000 - $120,000 + Benefits

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in Software Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 4+ years of experience in automation technologies, ideally in a chemistry setting.
  • Proficient in Python, C++, C#, and Windows .NET framework; experience with Linux is a plus.
  • Familiar with UPLC/HPLC instruments and Chromatography Data Systems.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Application Development: Create software for the operation and maintenance of chemical automation technologies.
  • Early-Stage Technology Development: Collaborate with teams to prototype and optimize new automation technologies.
  • Systems Integration: Oversee software integration with existing laboratory equipment.
  • Technical Communication: Prepare presentations, support grant proposals, and assist in manuscript preparation.
  • Lab Safety: Comply with safety protocols and environmental management plans.
