The Manager, Proofreader role is a position for a detail-oriented individual with an ability to manage high-volumes of projects, including print, web, mobile, video, social media, email, PowerPoint slides, and service documents, at an urgent pace. The successful candidate will be proficient in basic and advanced U.S. English grammar rules and understand how they are used within our corporate brand guidelines. Our ideal candidate is meticulous in reviewing copy, noting errors such as punctuation, spelling, and word usage, and knows how to check statements for accuracy. You must communicate effectively with the writers and business partners to ensure documents meet all company guidelines.

Key Responsibilities And Duties

  • Review documents for grammar, spelling, and style.
  • Fact-check dates and other statements for accuracy
  • Ensure text meets tone and voice as outline by our brand guidelines
  • Make corrections and suggested edits to the document
  • Meet proofreading deadlines
  • Ensure all project requests are met and effectively prioritized
  • Dynamically manage workload and priorities on a day-to-day, hour-to-hour basis to ensure all project requests are met and effectively prioritized, despite a heavy workload
  • Manage tasks through Workfront project management system

Educational Requirements

  • University (Degree) Preferred

  • 3+ Years Required; 5+ Years Preferred

  • 3+ years of proofreading/copyediting experience in financial services

  • Familiarity with AP and other style guides

Base Pay Range: $67,700/yr. - $112,800/yr.

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
