As a Software Engineer Intern, you'll make a meaningful impact on large-scale projects while building and refining your coding style. As a valued member of our team, you'll work closely with team members to help solve new and novel technical issues while building technical communication and project management skills.
About the Role
- Assist with building and deploying support to internal clients through instant messages, phone and face-to-face interactions
- Collaborate with engineers, developers, architects, quality assurance, system engineers and product managers to solve new and existing technical issues
- Understand requirements, implement designs, and provide administration tools and documentation for specific projects
- Develop and maintain software to support business functions
- Participate in design and code reviews
- Follow and enhance existing development processes
- Measure and verify that codes have acceptable performance and scalability
About You
- Pursuing a degree in Computer Science or equivalent field
- A foundation in programming fundamentals, design patterns, data structures, object-oriented design principles, unit testing, and modern version control flows
- Willingness to learn new programing languages and technologies
- Experience with one or more of the following languages: C# (or other .NET language), Java, or JavaScript (either back-end, e.g., NodeJS, and/or front-end, such as Angular, React, or Vue).
- Understanding of working in a continuous integration and continuous delivery environment or Agile team
- Interest in working with software automation frameworks to do functional testing
- Interest in developing applications in a cloud environment, such as AWS or Azure
- Comfort working on the command line
- Portfolio, code samples and projects are preferred
