Salary/Hourly Rate

$85k – $95k plus 15% Bonus

Position Overview

The Claims Manager is responsible for managing the claims department, including handling, investigating, and resolving claims related to transportation and logistics. This role requires a deep understanding of the claims process, strong leadership skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities Of The Claims Manager

  • Oversee and manage the claims department, ensuring efficient and effective handling of all claims.
  • Investigate, evaluate, and settle claims related to transportation and logistics.
  • Develop and implement claims policies and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Monitor and analyze claims data to identify trends and implement corrective actions.
  • Provide training and support to claims adjusters and other team members.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and resolution of claims.
  • Maintain compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
  • Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including insurance companies, attorneys, and customers.
  • Prepare and present reports on claims activity and performance to senior management.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve the claims process and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications For The Claims Manager

  • Transportation/logistics experience is required.
  • Prior management experience is required.
  • 7+ years of claims experience is required.
  • 6 to 20 Adjuster License is a plus.
  • Ability to go into the office full-time until after the training period.

Education Requirements

  • Associate’s degree and higher is strongly preferred.
