About The Role

  • Global S&P Planning & Ops team is responsible for leading key Planning processes for CommOps including financial planning, strategic planning and operational target setting
  • The mission of the Planning & Ops team is to enable CommOps to plan, measure and communicate progress against highest priority financial and operational goals across global strategic pillars
  • In this role, you will be responsible for leading a high visibility and strategic process for CommOps driving alignment across multiple senior stakeholders

---- What the Candidate Will Do ----

  • Lead key financial and operational planning processes for CommOps including Annual Planning, Long Range Planning and Half Yearly Planning
  • Lead the improvement of planning processes based on stakeholder feedback and planning post mortems
  • Ensure clarity of roles and responsibilites through continued stakeholder discussions and cross CommOps alignment
  • Work with regional and global S&P / business planning teams to develop and curate the Planning processes to meet the needs of Global First
  • Strategically assess and influence the development of each CommOps team's internal performance reviews, cadence and material to the CommOps LT

---- Basic Qualifications ----

  • Bachelor's degree in Business / Economics or other quantitative fields
  • 3+ years of strategy consulting, corporate strategy, program management, or financial planning

---- Preferred Qualifications ----

  • MBA or PMP
  • 5+ years of strategy consulting, corporate strategy, program management, or financial planning
  • Experience assessing, improving, and independently running strategic budget & operational planning processes for high-growth teams
  • Explicit experience building business cases for cost savings/investment opportunities
  • Ability to create and communicate frameworks for driving cross-functional decision-making using data and principled assumptions
  • Advanced analytical & presentation skills; e.g. Excel / Google Sheets, analysis of financial trends / KPIs, PowerPoint / Google Slides, etc.
  • Understanding of financial metrics and experience working with such metrics
  • Excellent organizational and program management skills; ability to build and execute against interdependent timelines
  • Experience with Chief of Staff / Program Management Office / executive communications, and the attention to detail required to be successful in those capacities
  • Excellent written and verbal executive communication skills
  • Exposure to support operations, including a working knowledge of standard support operational health metrics like customer satisfaction, defect rate, contact rate, etc. and how they influence support economics

For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$124,000 per year - USD$137,500 per year. You will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp. You will also be eligible for various benefits.
