Responsibilities:

  • Budget and KPI Management: Responsible for the administration and monitoring of the budget and key performance indicators (KPIs) for the US region of the North America International Logistics Operations Center.
  • Market Research: Conduct advance research on logistics conditions in North America, including macroeconomic policies, free trade agreements, and microeconomic aspects such as the latest customs policies and industry trends.
  • Transit Warehouse Planning: Responsible for medium and long-term planning of overseas transit warehouses in North America.
  • Logistics Planning: Plan logistics for North America, including advanced logistics planning and logistics-related cost assessments for export and import-related projects in the North America region.
  • Supplier Tendering and Procurement: Responsible for the tendering and procurement of third-party transit warehouse suppliers in North America, the implementation of warehouse solutions for nominated projects, and the management of logistics service providers (LSPs).
  • Annual Tendering and Supplier Management: Responsible for the annual tendering of international and domestic transportation for freight forwarders, customs brokers, shipping carriers, and the management of LSPs.
  • Cost and Freight Base Tables: Establish and maintain the cost basis of third-party transit warehouses and import & export-related freight basis in the North America region.
  • Investment Analysis and Project Management: Conduct ROI analysis for group self-built transit warehouses, design warehousing solutions, and manage projects to improve the setup of warehouses and support the resolution and improvement of daily warehousing operation KPI issues.
  • Logistics Advice and Solutions: Provide logistics advice and overall logistics/customs solutions under DDP terms, including destination port and routing.
  • Cost Planning and Control: Responsible for warehousing cost planning, control, and reducing abnormal expenses in the US region.

Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: At least a bachelor's degree.
  • Work Experience: At least 8 years of experience in overseas logistics, with more than 2 years in the automotive parts industry, and must have experience in customer order and delivery management, overseas transit warehouse management.
  • Language: Good verbal and written communication skills in English.

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Knowledge of international trade, logistics, transportation, warehousing, and customs compliance.
  • Familiarity with warehouse planning, operations, and WMS system principles.
  • Knowledge of logistics procurement (warehousing, transportation) and LSP management, with strong negotiation skills with suppliers.
  • Good understanding of logistics requirements from the automotive industry customers, especially from USA/EU OEMs, e.g., MMOG/LE.
  • Understanding of international financial and tax knowledge.
  • Strong systematic and global thinking, meticulous and considerate for work.
  • Excellent global organizing, coordination, optional solutions providing, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Good sense for setting up and optimizing procedures to improve work efficiency.
  • Cross-cultural communication skills, coordination ability, and team spirit.
  • Proficiency in using ERP-SAP, Office software, and other IT software (e.g., PPT, functions).
