Our client is a prominent private equity firm seeking to hire a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead one of their high-growth portfolio companies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving the strategic direction, operational excellence, and long-term profitability of the company. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead and grow a dynamic business within a fast-paced, private equity-backed environment.

Position Overview:

As the CEO, you will be the primary leader responsible for setting the vision, strategy, and culture of the company. You will oversee all aspects of the business, including operations, finance, and business development, while ensuring alignment with the goals of the private equity sponsor. The role requires a hands-on leader capable of building and scaling a high-growth organization while navigating the complexities of a PE-backed business.

This position operates under an open office policy, allowing the flexibility to work remotely with the expectation of attending mandatory on-site meetings 2-3 times per month.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the overall strategic vision and growth plan for the company.
  • Lead the executive team in driving operational performance and achieving financial targets.
  • Build a strong, results-driven culture that aligns with the company’s goals and values.
  • Oversee financial performance, ensuring efficient use of capital and resources to drive profitability.
  • Collaborate with the private equity sponsor to align on strategic initiatives, growth opportunities, and value creation.
  • Drive business development efforts to expand the company’s market presence, including mergers, acquisitions, and strategic partnerships.
  • Provide leadership to all functions, including operations, sales, finance, and human resources.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and legal requirements while maintaining a strong governance framework.
  • Serve as the face of the company to key stakeholders, including investors, customers, and partners.
  • Develop and mentor the leadership team to foster continuous improvement and leadership development.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Extensive leadership experience in a CEO or senior executive role, preferably within a PE-backed or high-growth environment.
  • Proven ability to lead and scale businesses, driving operational excellence and financial performance.
  • Strong understanding of financial statements, capital allocation, and value creation.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Willingness to travel as needed for business operations and key stakeholder meetings.
