Description
The Storage IPv6 Administrator is responsible for the administration, maintenance, and support of storage systems within an IPv6-enabled network environment. Core responsibilities and duties; highlight day-to-day activities:
- Storage System Configuration and Management: Setting up and configuring storage systems, including SAN, NAS, and Direct Attached Storage.
- Data Backup and Recovery: Implementing and managing backup solutions to ensure data is regularly backed up.
- Storage Performance Monitoring: Monitoring the performance of storage systems to identify and resolve bottlenecks.
- IPv6 Configuration: Configure storage technologies to communicate over IPv6 in addition to IPv4.
Qualifications
Required:
- Must have a minimum of 5 years of related experience providing storage solutions engineering support, to include storage management, administration and maintenance of storage systems (e.g., SAN, INAS) ensuring high availability/and performance .
- Ability to monitor storage capacity, health, and performance metrics .
- Ability to perform regular backups and disaster recovery procedures
