Job Description

This job is a hybrid role as we would require at least two days a week working out of the New Albany facility after the initial training.

Expected hours to work per week: 40 hours a week, Mon - Friday with daytime hours. This role may have some occasional overtime as needed

Every third week, this candidate would be on call, 24 x 7 for the entire week. They would be expected to answer calls and respond as needed. They would be compensated for any additional time worked.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • A minimum of 5 years of data processing experience in a technical capacity is required.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience using workload automation systems is required.
  • Experience using BMC's Control-M preferred.
  • A 2-year college degree in computer science is preferred.
  • Experience with prioritizing workloads
  • Understanding of server and cloud applications is required.
  • Understanding of network monitoring tools and concepts, technical standards, and problem and change management and escalation procedures are required.
  • Experience in scripting is required.
  • Understanding of one of more IT best practice methodologies such as ITIL, Agile, ITSM, Six Sigma, or Lean certifications are preferred.
  • Proven ability in developing good relationships with stakeholders, understanding detailed business requirements across multiple project initiatives
  • Effective problem-solving and research skills.
  • Effective customer service skills, including active listening. conflict resolution, decision-making, and negotiation.
  • Effective verbal, phone, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Responsibilities:

  • Use workload automation software to manage, schedule, and optimize the execution of business processes, transactions, and workflows to increase efficiency, reduce manual intervention, and reduce errors and delays in end-to-end processes.
  • Serve as a point of contact to create a positive customer support experience and build rapport and trust with business partners and application teams.
  • Using workload automation software, build and validate job flows, calendar requirements, and scheduling criteria across all platforms.
  • Confirm automated jobs and schedules comply with established standards, are efficient, and meet processing requirements.
  • Assist application teams and business partners in in defining automation requirements and task scheduling activities to ensure batch schedules are properly configured and optimized.
  • Provide quality control and testing services during the development of new task scheduling.
  • Monitor and analyze business requirements, procedures, and problems to recommend or implement changes and improvements to workload automation jobs and schedules.
  • Identify and resolve, in a timely fashion, issues that interrupt or adversely affect the normal workflow of system processing.
  • Engage with the appropriate support teams and/or coordinate resolution of issues and incidents.
  • Respond to calls and inquiries to facilitate the timely resolution of incidents and completion of requests for service. Assist in the creation and maintenance of departmental procedures, best practices, and standards.
  • Identify and recommend enhancements to improve the productivity of the operations and task scheduling areas.
  • Work with vendors and third parties to troubleshoot and resolve issues as needed.
  • Coach or train others on the use of company provided workload automation software
  • Create Knowledge Articles to retain knowledge within the organization.
  • Assist team members with the Root Cause Analysis (RCA) of problems.
  • Report on job and schedule activity as requested.
  • Test workload automation schedules and jobs during new installations or upgrades to workload automation software.
  • Support Disaster Recovery testing.
  • Participate in the "on-call" rotation as necessary and when assigned.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
