Our client, a well-respected global organization is searching for an experienced IT Project Manager for a contract role. Position will be fully remote. This is a contract role, starting at 12 months with likely extension. EXPERIENCE WITH SALESFORCE PROJECTS IS A PLUS! This is a FULLY REMOTE role. Client located in Philadelphia, PA

For this contract role we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing project planning, execution, and implementation, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.

JOB SUMMARY

Project Managers have primary responsibility for defining, planning, tracking and managing IT and enterprise projects, and for identifying key resources and providing the direction they require in order to meet project objectives. They ensure appropriate management, customer and supplier involvement throughout the life of the project. The project manager guides cross-functional team responsibilities for delivering defined project outputs on time, within budget, and with high quality results. They plan, organize, monitor, and oversee one or more projects to meet defined requirements and business specifications. EXPERIENCE WITH SALESFORCE PROJECTS IS A PLUS! This is a FULLY REMOTE role. JOB REQUIREMENTS:

EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION & CERTIFICATION

3-5 years experience in using formal project management methodology, techniques, and tools

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification and/or other industry and project management certifications required

College degree, preferably in a technical subject; minor or advanced degree in business or industry-related subject is a plus. Work experience may be substituted for educational credentials.

Extensive knowledge of project management tools and methodologies; extensive experience with using relevant project management and business management computer software

Industry experience preferred

CSM, PSM or PMI-ACP certification preferred

Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Project and Visio)

SKILLS/ABILITIES

Thorough knowledge of and competency in project management processes, including planning tasks and allocating resources, risk management, issues management, time management, financial management, HR management, working in teams, quality management, monitoring and reporting, documentation and record keeping

Excellent organizational skills

A technical background sufficient to understand the technologies and technical issues involved with the project and industry, to be able to anticipate and identify technical obstacles, and to make accurate technology decisions

Ability to analyze and review project finance commitments and related budgetary information to determine impact on project costs

Adaptability and flexibility including ability to manage deadline pressure, ambiguity and change

Ability to advise on complex matters to non-specialists; ability to communicate effectively with senior management

Personal integrity and courage to escalate issues about the project to management when necessary and to advocate for responsible solutions to project problems

Exceptional interpersonal skills; the ability to work well with people from many different disciplines with varying degrees of technical experience; competence in clear, concise and tactful communication with senior management, clients, peers and staff

Ability to build teams and generate a spirit of cooperation while coordinating diverse activities and groups; people management and negotiating skills within a team environment

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation and updates to relevant knowledge bases; analyze lessons learned and shares with other project directors and project managers.

Manage vendor relations and procurement related to the project(s).

Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques.

Analyze risks, establish contingency plans and identify trigger events and responsibility for initiating mitigating action.

Develop a detailed project plan to track progress, ensure efficient resource allocation and mange cost

Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs

Lead cross-functional teams through all phases, from chartering, kick-off, solution design, implementation, benefit monitoring, to successful closure.

Ensures smooth transition of the project deliverables into sustainable routine operation and embedded into ongoing processes.

Manages project plan, budget, issues and risks.

Report on projects at meetings and with external consultants and departmental and senior management to assure that priorities are communicated and understood, and that progress/delays/issues are reported.

Analyze the actual performance against the plan and make adjustments consistent with plan objectives

Compiles, analyzes, coordinates and presents data for use by the sponsors.

Monitors and controls all documentation and deliverables throughout the projects.

Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.

Has authoritative decision responsibility for the Initiate, Plan, Execute and Control stages of the project

Develop project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.

Communicates written and oral project updates and formal recommendations for senior management and governance.

Co-create a project charter with the team, including the definition of completion criteria.

Conducts research, process analysis and cost-benefit analysis to identify growth and improvement opportunities.

Manage the financial aspects of the project: budgeting, estimate to actual variance, capital project management, etc.

Establishes process and project metrics.

Validates cost and benefit assumptions with stakeholders, resource managers, and process owners.

Facilitates the identification, redesign and implementation of all necessary project deliverables to achieve target results.

Makes sound judgment for proper escalation to project sponsors.

Experience:
- Proven experience in project management
- Proficiency in databases and SharePoint
- Strong ability to analyze project data and metrics
- Familiarity with cloud computing technologies
- Experience in requirements gathering and documentation
