Q Investments is interested in immediately hiring a top private equity or consulting professional (Bain, McKinsey or BCG) to join its private equity ownership team as a VP/Associate to assist with strategic and financial evaluations and management of its portfolio companies. You will work directly with the Q partner in charge of Private Equity who is currently the Chairman/CEO of PHI Group.

Founded in 1949, PHI Group, Inc. is one of the world's leading helicopter services companies. The Company's primary business has been the safe and reliable transportation of personnel to, from, and among offshore platforms for customers engaged in the oil and gas exploration, development, and production industry. About Scott McCarty:

Mr. McCarty is a partner of Q Investments and has been with Q for 20 years, starting in 2002. He is currently also the Chairman and CEO of PHI Group, Inc.

Prior to leading the private equity and distressed investment groups at Q, he was a portfolio manager. Before joining Q Investments, Mr. McCarty was a captain in the United States Army. Mr. McCarty graduated with a BS from the United States Military Academy at West Point, where he was a Distinguished Cadet and recipient of the General Lee Donne Olvey Award and earned an MBA from Harvard Business School. Mr. McCarty has led a number of companies through corporate restructurings and has been on the public company boards of Exide Technologies, Gulfmark Offshore Inc, Travelport Worldwide Ltd, and Jones Energy Inc., in addition to numerous other private company boards in the technology, environmental, energy and manufacturing sectors.

Position Description:

  • Provide analytical, forecasting, reporting, and project support to private equity owners and senior management
  • Produce reports, which include key metrics, financial results, and variance analysis
  • Assist in identifying opportunities for performance improvement across the organization
  • Assist in analyzing M&A opportunities and evaluate new lines of business
  • Develop models that help with decision-making
  • Compensation for the right candidate can be up to 10% over current
  • Report directly to the Chairman of the Board and CEO, who is also a partner at Q Investments

Requirements:

  • 5-7+ years' experience with a top I-banking, PE, Hedge Fund, Fortune 500 or Consulting Firm (McKinsey, Bain or BCG)
  • Highly proficient Excel modeling capabilities
  • Excellent academic credentials
  • Must be able to commit to the position for at least two years
