Responsibilities:
- Take full responsibility for a Learning Team, supporting their academic and character development success.
- Build trusting relationships with students’ families, providing regular progress updates and addressing challenges.
- Teach a daily character curriculum and tutor students throughout the school day.
- Collaborate with school staff and families to create attendance, behavior, and academic intervention plans.
- Utilize your unique skills—whether in academics, arts, technology, or career pathways—to contribute to the school’s success.
- Integrate character education and school values into every aspect of instruction.
- Contribute to the school community, continuously improving systems, processes, and culture.
- Passion for creating opportunities and leadership for urban youth.
- Strong commitment to Vertus’s values, culture, and mission.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire young men.
- Record of professional achievement or leadership experience.
