The Opportunity

As a Cost Control Manager working in the Major Projects team at Pomerleau Construction, you will play a key role in making a significant contribution to the management control of our major construction projects. Supporting our work on large-scale building and infrastructure projects - ranging from $1.5 million to upwards of $1 billion - you will analyze and develop budgets and best practices as it relates to project opportunities and helping the project teams in making sound financial and business decisions.

What You Will Do

  • Create and generate project reporting and dashboard templates tailored to project needs.
  • Oversee the assembly, review, editing, and submission of all reporting outputs, including monthly progress reports and dashboards.
  • Work with the Scheduling team to integrate various inputs into cohesive reports.
  • Monitor schedule variance, float, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Establish and analyze progress measurement processes and performance data.
  • Assess construction productivity, validate estimates, and review labor estimates for accuracy.
  • Suggest corrective measures when performance trends deviate from the baseline.
  • Assist with 5D schedule integration, including cash flow and sequence simulations, and manage data consistency across reports.

What YOU Will Bring

  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 7-10 years Mega Projects planning experience.
  • Proven experience and ability in planning, reporting, and managing complex projects.
  • Strong knowledge of the Earned Value Management principles.
  • Proven ability to effectively lead reporting team.
  • Proven problem solver with sound judgment who accepts ownership and accountability.
  • Expert level knowledge of project Planning and Scheduling software which may include Primavera P6 & TILOS
  • SAP, Hard Dollar, and Synchro knowledge will be an asset.
  • Expert user of reporting software s such as Excel, PowerBI, SQL Database.

The expected salary range for this opportunity is $124,000 - $168,000. Please note that salaries may vary depending on the candidate s experience and geographical location. Listed compensation is exclusive of bonus and in addition to our extensive employee benefits program which is listed above. Availability of certain benefits may vary based on the specific job role.
