Job Description
The Personnel Automation Section Lead will oversee the automation processes related to personnel management within the military. This role involves ensuring compliance with regulations, managing a team of automation specialists, and implementing efficient systems for personnel record-keeping and data management.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
Clearance: Must possess a valid Secret clearance.
Required Skills and Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years of experience in military personnel administration or information technology with a focus on automation systems. Proven leadership skills with experience in managing teams or projects in a military environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead the Personnel Automation Section, ensuring the effective implementation and management of automation systems for personnel records.
- Develop and implement procedures for the automation of personnel processes, ensuring compliance with military regulations and policies.
- Manage a team of automation specialists, providing training, guidance, and support to enhance their skills and productivity.
- Collaborate with IT departments to design, develop, and maintain personnel automation systems and software applications.
- Analyze existing personnel processes and identify opportunities for improvement through automation, streamlining operations and reducing manual tasks.
- Assist in the integration of new technologies and systems into existing personnel processes, ensuring a smooth transition and minimal disruption.
- Identify and implement best practices for personnel record-keeping and data management to enhance overall efficiency.
- Participate in audits and reviews of personnel automation processes, providing necessary documentation and information to demonstrate compliance.
