Our client specializes in IT Management Consulting for the Federal Government. They have a direct hire opportunity for a Senior-Level Automation Architect to work at a Federal Agency in Woodlawn, MD. The ideal candidate has strong experience in building the Automation Testing framework for Enterprise level complex applications. This role is located in Woodlawn, MD, and requires onsite presence at least 2 days a week. Candidates must live within 2 hours of the client-site.

The candidate must be willing to wait for the 4-to-6-week clearance process.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of innovative software testing automation frameworks through collaboration with experts. Continuously assess new technologies to recommend better solutions for improving the developer experience and software delivery efficiency.
  • Mentor and coach technical staff, shape product vision, and support multiple initiatives for mission success. Must have proven experience as a Senior Automation Validator on large, complex projects and enterprise solutions.
  • Provide technical input that influences strategic client outcomes and Leidos business results.
  • Engage in end-to-end automation testing within an Agile environment.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree and 8 years of experience in a training related field
  • Proficient in using Selenium WebDriver with Java for web application automation and regression testing.
  • Extensive experience in API testing.
  • Skilled in building automation frameworks from the ground up.
  • Strong background in developing test scripts for BDD (Behavior Driven Development) using Cucumber (Gherkin format) within custom automation frameworks.
  • Experience in building Selenium automation frameworks with Junit/TestNG and creating Maven targets for executing automation suites.
  • Knowledgeable in Java and JavaScript-based technologies like Node.js and Angular.js.
  • Experienced in automation tools such as Jenkins, Maven, Junit, and Mockito.
  • Deep understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum and Kanban) and their ceremonies, including scrums, planning, backlog grooming, retrospectives, and demos.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, providing technical leadership in design, development, and testing.



Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in using Selenium for web application and automating regression test cases (Selenium WebDriver/Selenium Box).
  • Experience with Jenkins Auto jobs, Stash/Bitbucket
  • Experience in configuring execution of automated regressions suite using Jenkins CI/CD pipeline.
  • Experience maintaining resources in configuration management tools, such as GitHub repository.
  • Experience with Version One management tool
  • Automation test results debugging.




Compensation and Benefits:

  • Salary range of $110K-$125K, based on experience, qualifications, location, licensure, and certifications. The salary pay range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.
