Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, located in Tarrytown NY, is looking for an energetic Associate Scientist to join the Protein Expression Sciences team.
A Typical Day in the Role Might Look Like:
This role requires a B.S. in Biology or related field with 2+ years of laboratory experience in cell biology; or M.S. in Molecular Biology, Cellular Biology, Biology or related field with 0-2 years of laboratory experience. A proven cell biology background, basic molecular biology skills, and good oral and written communication skills as well as proficiency in mammalian cell culture techniques such as aseptic cell culture handling and transfections is preferred. Experience in using flow cytometry is desirable. Experience in operating liquid handlers is desirable but not required. In addition, the candidate should have experience with general molecular biology techniques such as PCR, RT-PCR, DNA sequencing, plasmid sub-cloning, isolation of genomic DNA and RNA from cells.

A Typical Day in the Role Might Look Like:
- Generating manufacturing grade clinical cell lines for production of therapeutic antibodies
- Mammalian Cell Culture activities, such as aseptic cell culture handling and transfections
- Applying Molecular Biology techniques such as PCR, RT-PCR, DNA sequencing, plasmid sub-cloning, isolation of genomic DNA and RNA from cells
- Have excellent oral and written communication skills and exhibit meticulous attention to detail
- Enjoy working in a fast passed environment
- Are eager to learn and implement new techniques, and work as a team to facilitate development of antibody therapeutics
