The Role

Gala is excited to announce that we're searching for a visionary and versatile leader to take on the role of Blockchain Management Leader. This role is uniquely positioned at the nexus of technology, product strategy, and business acumen. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned professional with a strong engineering foundation who has transitioned into a product-focused role with a specific emphasis on blockchain technology. This individual will be pivotal in driving our blockchain product strategy, overseeing its execution, and fostering collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

We are seeking visionary business leaders with deep subject matter expertise and proven leadership experience to take our company to the next stage. The focus is to drive new strategic initiatives, grow the existing business, including new and existing partners, and lead and manage teams. They will also manage their P&L. Most importantly, we need leaders who embody a "yes and" mentality, embracing challenges with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset and a drive to figure things out and deliver impactful results.

Responsibilities

  • Product Strategy: Develop and refine our blockchain product strategy, aligning it with our company's vision and market trends. Identify and prioritize opportunities for innovation and growth within the web3 gaming landscape.
  • Engineering Collaboration: Effectively communicate with our engineering teams, bridging the gap between technical intricacies and product goals. Collaborate closely to ensure the feasibility and optimal execution of our blockchain products.
  • Roadmap Development: Craft comprehensive and realistic product roadmaps detailing the phases of development, milestones, and expected timelines. Regularly update and adapt the roadmap based on evolving priorities and market dynamics.
  • Cross-functional leadership: Collaborate with the C-suite to define company-wide OKRs that align with the blockchain product strategy. Provide leadership and direction to cross-functional teams, ensuring that product objectives align with broader business goals.
  • Partner Relationships: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with partners, collaborators, and external stakeholders in the blockchain and gaming ecosystems. Leverage these relationships to drive synergies, partnerships, and business development opportunities.
  • Effective Communication: Exhibit exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal. Articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences, including internal teams, external partners, investors, and the broader gaming community.
  • Presentations and Thought Leadership: Deliver compelling presentations to internal and external audiences. Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and speaking engagements to position us as a thought leader in blockchain gaming.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (computer science, engineering, business, or a related discipline); advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven track record of transitioning from a technical engineering role to a product-focused role, with at least 5 years of experience in product management in the blockchain and/or gaming industry.
  • Deep understanding of blockchain technology, decentralized applications (dApps), and their real-world applications in the gaming space.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive stakeholder consensus.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities, coupled with a pragmatic approach to problem-solving.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively across technical and business teams.
  • Prior experience drafting and executing product roadmaps, aligning them with company objectives.
  • Adept at cultivating and nurturing partner relationships and identifying strategic opportunities for collaboration.
  • Stellar presentation and public speaking skills, showcasing the ability to convey complex ideas with clarity and passion.
