Our team is currently looking for a full-time Creative Director. This role will be onsite in Portland, Oregon.

ABOUT THIS ROLE

Creative Leadership:

  • Lead and inspire a team of art directors, creators, copywriters, and other creative professionals.
  • Develop and articulate the creative vision for projects and campaigns, ensuring alignment with client goals and agency standards.
  • Foster a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and creative problem-solving.

Strategy and Concept Development:

  • Work closely with clients and studio producers to understand project objectives, target audiences, and brand positioning.
  • Conceptualize and pitch creative strategies and ideas that address client needs and stand out in the market.
  • Ensure creative concepts are on-brand, on-message, and strategically sound.

Project Management:

  • Oversee the creative process from initial brainstorming to final delivery, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, balancing priorities and resources effectively.
  • Review and approve creative work, providing constructive feedback and guidance to the team.

Client Interaction:

  • Present creative concepts and strategies to clients, articulating the rationale behind creative decisions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and adapting creative approaches as required.
  • Address client feedback and concerns promptly and professionally.

Innovation and Trends:

  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and design practices to keep the agency’s creative output fresh and relevant.
  • Explore new creative techniques and tools to enhance the agency’s capabilities and offerings.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Creative Director will be responsible for overseeing and guiding the creative process from concept to execution. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, leadership, and hands-on creativity. The ideal candidate will have a strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in various creative disciplines, an ability to inspire and manage a team, and a track record of delivering exceptional results for clients.

EDUCATION

Preferred: Bachelor's Degree, Advertising, Marketing, Art Direction or related field

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 8+ years experience in a creative leadership role
  • 10+ years experience in an agency environment or related role
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with a demonstrated ability to inspire and mentor creative talent.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate creative concepts to clients and team members.
  • Production / On-Set Experience
  • Expertise in Google Suite (Docs, Slides, Sheets), and Keynote
  • Experience in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, After Effects, Premier, Illustrator)
  • Ability to manage and critique other creatives with decisive grace
  • Versatility across all types of marketing and brand needs
  • Capable of project ownership, with or without a partner
  • Highly conceptual thinker with strong design sensibilities and POV
  • Professional presentation capabilities
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficient at creating for social as well as traditional formats.
  • AI fluency is a bonus (Midjourney, ChatGPT, PS Generative fill etc.)

The anticipated annual compensation range for this position is $150,000 - $200,000, in addition to our standard employee benefits package (medical/dental/vision/life insurance, 401k matching, Flexible PTO, and various other benefits and perks) Consistent with applicable law, compensation is determined based on a wide range of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, job duties, and geographic location. We reserve the right to modify this pay range at any time.
