The Pyxis Development team is looking for an experienced Sr. Software Test Automation Engineer to help drive testing and test automation for our greenfield next generation software products. At BD , an experienced s oftware t est er and test a utomation engineer plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality and functionality of software applications, with a particular focus on test automation to enable rapid development and delivery of software products to our customers. The right senior engineer shall have passion to develop and deliver great software, and be a self-motivated teammate who collaborates effectively with the team on diverse, fast-moving projects.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Drive improvements in our automated testing framework and application lifecycle management toolchain.
  • Build, refine and manage a suite of automated regression and performance tests.
  • Review software and business requirements to provide inputs and ensure clarity of what needs to be tested
  • Prepare and review test plans, which outline the scope, approach, resources, and schedule of testing activities
  • Prepare test cases, test scripts, and test data to ensure comprehensive coverage of the software's functionality
  • Execute tests, both manual and automated, to identify any defects or issues in the software
  • Report defects and assist in their understanding, working closely with developers to resolve them , as well as verification and validation teams , and other collaborators to align on severities and priorities of identified defects
  • Analyze test results and track software testing metrics to ensure the software meets the required standards
  • S upport product testing and releases as needed.
  • Create and maintain documentation related to testing and test execution.
  • Create and review quality system documents, protocols, process and product validations, and test methods.
  • Provide leadership and support for quality objectives and process improvement efforts.
  • Use software testing best-practices for creating well-structured, documented, maintainable and tested software .
  • Participate in an Agile / Scrum process, including requirements definition, planning, and scheduling, risk analysis, design review and others as necessary.


Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, informatics, software engineering, engineering technology, Math or equivalent in related subject area.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in software testing or related role.
  • Experience operating in agile development environments is preferred.
  • Experience with healthcare environments is preferred.
  • Experience with software testing tools and frameworks such as MS Test, Moq , SpecFlow , Selenium, Cucumber, Ranorex , Endtest , Ghost Inspector, QF- Test, Playwright or alternatives.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps, Jira, Artifactory, Bamboo, CircleCI , Jenkins, Git, GitHub, BitBucket , GitKraken or comparable code management, continuous integration, project planning, documentation and repository tools is preferred .

  • Strong written and oral communication skills required. Experience interacting with global teams is a strong plus.
  • Strong sense of teamwork and collaboration.

  • Productive with a focus on results. Strong analytical, problem-solving skill .
  • Demonstrated capability for critical thinking.
  • Demonstrated positive work ethic with a strong commitment to achieving project goals.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% (domestic and international).

$99,000.00 - $163,300.00 USD Annual
