Job Description

Job Description
Join us at Cleric

At Cleric, we're building an AI-powered SRE assistant that autonomously manages, repairs, and optimizes complex software environments. We're looking for a staff product manager to bridge the gap between our product and our customers' needs.

About the role

At Cleric, we re taking away one of the most painful parts of being an engineer managing high scale systems. You re helping our SRE and platform engineer users escape the non-stop drudgery of alerts and spending too much time on repetitive tasks.

What You'll Do
  • Collaborate with our founders daily in our 'product room' to discuss user insights and make key product decisions

  • Be the voice of the customer, participating in every user call alongside the founders

  • Drive our product strategy with data-driven insights and a keen understanding of platform engineering pain points

  • Unblock our team by maintaining crucial artifacts like user insights, hypotheses, and the product roadmap

  • Define our UX vision and manage design execution through external contractors

  • Analyze product usage data to drive iterative improvements

  • Lead sprint planning, feature prioritization, and roadmap management

What You Bring
  • A "librarian" mindset with a dash of "poet" - you re a structured data-driven thinker but aren't afraid to trust your intuition

  • Experience in product management for technical products (AI, developer tools, observability, etc.)

  • Strong analytical skills and a data-driven approach to product development

  • The ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear product requirements

  • A deep empathy for SREs and platform engineers - you understand the pain of 3 AM alerts

  • Passion for AI and its potential to transform software operations

  • Basic wireframing skills and an eye for good UX

How we work
  • Small teams, big impact: We believe that small teams can deliver great products.

  • Culture matters: We value a positive and inclusive work environment.

  • In-person collaboration: We believe in working closely to deliver the best results.

  • AI-first approach: We don't simply build AI products; we augment ourselves with it.

Interview Process
  1. Intro call (30 mins): Let's get to know each other and see if there's a mutual fit

  2. Product management (60 mins): Walk us through one of your past product development experiences

  3. On-site visit:

    1. Whiteboarding session: Product thinking + UX approach

    2. User empathy scenarios

  4. Lunch/coffee with founders

Compensation Range: $140K - $200K
