We are seeking a Telecommunications Engineer to join our team in Gambrills, Maryland. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity in the telecommunications industry, where you will be tasked with automating the retrieval of a large volume of recordings and managing the associated data migration.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement automated scripts for the retrieval of a high volume of audio recordings.
Manage the transfer of recordings between different telecommunications systems.
Ensure the safe and efficient migration of data from Mitel to Zoom.
Handle a hybrid/cloud solution for the storage and management of data.
Create and manage a database for the storage and retrieval of recordings and associated information.
Develop strategies for efficient retrieval of recordings, considering the limitation of moving a certain volume at a time.
Coordinate the handling of a zip file with recordings and a .csv file with information about the calls.
Work on the safe and efficient deletion of recordings after a specified time period.
Ensure the creation and management of a cover sheet for each recording.
Collaborate with other team members to resolve issues related to the telecommunications partner. Possess a minimum of 7 years of experience in the field of Telecommunications Engineering
Demonstrated expertise in Telecommunication Systems and general Telecommunications
Ability to create and manage Automated Scripts
Proficiency in using Mitel systems
Experience in Database Migration and Data Migration
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and team collaboration skills
Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Engineering or related field preferred
Familiarity with industry standards and regulations
Willingness to continually update knowledge and skills on evolving telecommunications technologies.
