Job Description
The Office of Institutional Research seeks an Senior Analyst to support Manhattan College s efforts to use information for effective decision-making and planning. The primary responsibilities focus on compliance and required university reporting and data analysis. The Senior Analyst of the Office of Institutional Research will serve to support the institutional research team with strong knowledge of both data systems and of statistics. The Senior Analyst of the Office of Institutional Research reports to the Director of Institutional Research.
1. Compliance Reporting:
- Coordinate and manage IPEDS reporting, Census data, Common Data Set, and Annual Institution Updates.
2. Survey Support:
- Assist with college surveys, including data reporting and analysis for specific areas
3. Statistical Modeling:
- Collaborate with the Director of IR to develop and implement statistical models using R or Python to inform institutional decision-making
4. Data Analysis and Automation:
- Utilize SQL, database scripting, and reporting languages to automate and streamline reports
- Develop critical report writing for Banner and Argos systems
5. Data Visualization:
- Create and maintain dashboards and data visualizations using Tableau for key stakeholders
6. Ad Hoc Reporting:
- Respond to ad hoc data, reports, and information requests from faculty, departments, and leadership
7. Publication Support:
- Assist in the development of publication-level reports, including the Annual Career Outcomes report and College Factbook
8. Assessment Collaboration:
- Work with the Director of Assessment to collect and structure data for assessment activities, including student artifacts and syllabi
9. Website Management:
- Develop and maintain the Institutional Research website to ensure up-to-date and accessible information
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s Degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science) or a related discipline; Master s Degree preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in institutional research, data analysis, or a related field
- High proficiency with SQL, Excel, and data visualization tools such as Tableau
- Experience with statistical modeling tools like R, Python, or SPSS
- Familiarity with Banner and Argos is preferred
- Strong ability to work collaboratively with faculty and departmental staff
- Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills, including effective listening
- Flexibility to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks efficiently
Salary Range: $90, 000 - $100,000
