Overview:

Our client, a successful and growing healthcare practice, is hiring a Business Manager to help them reach the next stage of their growth. This person will work closely with the executive leadership team in developing strategies for growth, and expansion and helping the company reach their short and long-term targets. You will also be responsible for overseeing the successful running of the HQ and practice locations in the Bay Area, making sure that administrative and care teams have everything they need and are set up for success. Experience in overseeing significant growth in a similar role is essential for this role, as well as an ability to develop strategies for the long-term success of the business based on company goals and be able to execute those.

Please note, that this role is an on-site role based in San Mateo, CA.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee, train, and manage the administrative team ensuring high performance and accountability.
  • Lead hiring, training, development, and performance management efforts for the team.
  • Foster a collaborative and motivated team environment.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and execute business strategies, aligning day-to-day operations with long-term growth goals.
  • Conduct SWOT analysis, identify growth opportunities, and develop actionable plans to increase business efficiency and scalability.
  • Analyze operational data, track key performance metrics, and continuously refine processes for business improvement.
  • Regularly assess the strengths and weaknesses of the team and operational systems to ensure continuous growth and optimization.
  • Work side by side with the executive team to plan future initiatives and drive business growth.
  • Provide insights and feedback from the team to leadership, ensuring clear communication and alignment with company goals.
  • Occasionally visit practice locations (approximately 1-2 days per week) to provide support, ensure alignment with operational goals, and maintain a strong leadership presence.
  • Understand the ins and outs of the business to troubleshoot challenges and ensure operational smoothness.
  • Address any staff or patient-related issues promptly and effectively.
  • Ensure ideas and strategies are executed successfully, fostering an environment where innovation can thrive.
  • Act as a driving force for production goals, ensuring milestones are met based on the company’s overall vision.

Requirements:

  • 5-10+ years of experience in operations, business management, or a related field, with a strong focus on scaling businesses.
  • Proven experience managing teams and leading them through periods of growth.
  • Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, business analysis, and operational optimization.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills, with a focus on developing and mentoring staff.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to conduct SWOT analyses and make data-driven decisions.
  • Strategic and business-minded, with the ability to balance day-to-day operations with long-term growth strategies.
  • Ability to handle staff and patient challenges with tact and professionalism.
  • Comfortable with light travel to maintain a presence across practice locations.
