Market Analysis and Research:
- Conduct comprehensive market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
- Analize market data to identify opportunities for new product development.
- Maintain a deep understanding of clinical practices, regulatory environment, and technological advancements.
Product Strategy and Planning:
- Develop and communicate the product vision and strategy.
- Create detailed product roadmaps aligned with company objectives and market needs.
- Define and prioritize product features and requirements.
- Identification of non-product strategies (e.g. clinical studies, digital solutions) to support product pipeline.
- Act as Marketing lead on project core teams
Customer and Stakeholder Engagement:
- Engage with key opinion leaders, healthcare professionals, and customers to gather insights and validate product concepts.
- Facilitate focus groups, surveys, and interviews to understand customer pain points and unmet needs.
- Defining and executing market research efforts to gather and synthesize both internal and external VOC.
- Collaborating with marketing team and cross-functional team members to ensure future development plans will deliver overall revenue and profit objectives.
- Creating collaborative relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including focus on KOLs and clinicians.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with R&D to ensure product development aligns with market requirements.
- Collaborate with regulatory, quality, and clinical teams to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Partner with downstream marketing and sales teams to ensure a seamless product launch.
Business Case Development:
- Develop business cases and financial models to support new product initiatives.
- Present product concepts and business cases to senior management and stakeholders for approval.
Product Lifecycle Management:
- Monitor product performance and market feedback post-launch.
- Identify opportunities for product improvements and manage product updates.
- Bachelor s degree in Marketing, Business, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- 5+ years of proven full-cycle (concept to launch) Program/Product Management or Marketing experience in product management, marketing, or a related field within the medical device industry. Cardiovascular products and in particular, Mechanical Circulatory Support, is a plus
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and clinical practices in the medical device industry.
- Track record with a variety of voice of the customer (VOC) collection methodologies; skilled at VOC interpretation in order to define market/user/business needs
- Experience with market research techniques and data analysis.
- Excellent communication skills, including experience creating compelling presentations and effective communication of recommendations
- Strong analytical, financial, and data-interpretation skills demonstrates comfort making data-supported recommendations and building a strong business case/justification to gain organizational support
- Anticipating competitive activities, monitor competitive pipelines, and ability to strategically respond to competitive initiatives via product iterations and/or marketing campaigns
- KOL engagement and experience managing multiple physician collaborators
- Demonstrate command of key business trends and market conditions through market research, clinical literature, metrics, coordination with customer interfacing teams and personal interaction with key customers
- Develop an understanding of current and future market dynamics and the other market participants landscape
- Willing to travel 20% - 30%, including domestic and international depending on needs.
