Job Description:
We are seeking a talented and experienced Technical Writer to join our team in the avionics industry. As a Technical Writer, you will be responsible for creating clear, concise, and accurate technical documentation for our avionics products and systems. Your role will be crucial in ensuring that our technical content meets industry standards and effectively communicates complex information to various stakeholders. Responsibilities:
Documentation Creation: Develop technical documentation including user manuals, installation guides, maintenance manuals, and technical specifications for avionics products and systems.
Content Review: Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather information and validate technical content for accuracy, completeness, and clarity.
Standard Compliance: Ensure all documentation adheres to industry standards, regulations, and best practices for aviation and avionics documentation.
Content Management: Maintain version control and organize documentation in a structured manner for easy access and retrieval.
Quality Assurance: Conduct reviews and audits of technical documentation to identify and correct errors, inconsistencies, or outdated information.
User Support: Provide support to internal teams, customers, and stakeholders by answering inquiries and clarifying technical information as needed.
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, quality assurance, and product management to gather information and ensure accuracy of technical content. Qualifications: Bachelor s degree in English, Technical Writing, Aviation Technology, or related field.
Proven experience 15 yrs as a Technical Writer in the aviation or avionics industry.
Strong understanding of avionics systems, aircraft operations, and aviation industry standards (e.g., FAA regulations, RTCA standards).
Proficiency in technical writing tools and software such as Microsoft Word, Adobe FrameMaker, MadCap Flare, and version control systems.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly and concisely.
Detail-oriented mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Experience working in Agile or Scrum development environments is a plus.
